Savo Gravel
Deep in the heart of Finland, over 800 kilometers of riding await you.
There are 12 varied loops of 30 to 60 kilometers and one 300 kilometer loop connecting them all.
Whether you are looking for relaxed, easy-going rides, curious exploration along village roads, or determined forward-moving effort that requires Finnish sisu. Rolling, quiet gravel roads keep you moving, while the laid-back atmosphere invites you to pause in the middle of village streets. From the depths of the forests to lakeshores and onwards to the edge of a national park.
This is Savo Gravel.
Where?
Savo Gravel is located in the heart of Finland, in North Savo region.
Savo Gravel is currently built across six municipalities and will expand further in the future. At the moment, the network includes 12 loop routes of 30–60 kilometres, which can be combined into longer rides if needed, and one main route of approximately 300 kilometres connecting them.
The routes start from the centres of the six municipalities: Keitele, Pielavesi, Rautalampi, Suonenjoki, Tervo and Vesanto, making local services easily accessible.
What are they like?
The routes are varied and offer different types of terrain across Savonia’s landscapes.
Routes in digital format
Currently the routes are available on Luontoon, Komoot, Outdooractive and Ride with GPS with links provided under each route. Komoot Collection, Outdooractive Collection and Ride With GPS Collection are also available for the full network.
