The stable is an approved member stable of the Equestrian Federation of Finland. Our stable currently has 17 horses, four of which also work in riding therapy. One privately owned horse is also kept at the stable. All of our horses are trained for riding (levels easy C to A), and some of them can also be driven.
Our stable is located about four kilometres from the centre of Pielavesi at Vanhapiha farm, which has been owned by the same family since the 1700s. A large outdoor riding arena and an indoor riding hall completed in autumn 2014 provide excellent facilities for versatile riding activities. The surrounding area also offers wonderful trail routes where rides of up to three hours are possible.
The stable is built in the old stone cowshed of Vanhapiha farm. There are 19 stalls and a pony stall. The stable is bright and spacious and includes a feed room, social facilities and a toilet. The building is surrounded by green pasture fields for the horses. Riitan Talli is an approved and recommended recreational riding stable by the Equestrian Federation of Finland. In addition to the horses, you may also meet Ruusa the cat and Sani the Niemi family’s collie at the stable.
