Wanhamäki Stable is a riding school approved by the Equestrian Federation of Finland and operates in connection with the Vanhamäki Foundation, close to the centre of Suonenjoki.
The stable currently houses around 15 horses and ponies used for lessons, and also accommodates privately owned horses belonging to riding school clients.
Riding lessons are held on weekday evenings and on Saturdays. During holiday periods, popular riding camps are organised. Weekend camps and courses can also be arranged on request for groups of at least six participants.
The stable has a large 20 × 60 metre indoor riding arena and a 22 × 50 metre training arena. There are also trail routes starting directly from the stable. In summer, a cross-country obstacle park is available, and thanks to movable obstacles, jumping is also possible during the winter season.
Wanhis is a competition and training centre and home to the active and award-winning riding club SuoVaRi. In cooperation with local stables, SuoVaRi regularly organises club, regional and national level competitions, as well as high quality training activities, including regional coaching sessions.
