Janoinen Karhu
Janoinen Karhu is a pleasant rest stop along Highway 9, halfway between Kuopio and Jyväskylä, in the idyllic Lakeland region.
At Janoinen Karhu’s grill, hamburgers and grill dishes are prepared for customers, offering filling portions at reasonable prices.
The menu includes traditional grilled hamburgers with whole‑meat patties and the always‑popular classic sausage and fries. The café’s homemade meatballs are favourites among both adults and children.
When you feel the need for coffee, the café’s freshly baked doughnuts and fresh Paulig Juhla Mokka will certainly help.
Janoinen Karhu has almost one hundred terrace seats, so even larger groups can enjoy the Ahvenkoski scenery and the café’s offerings.
The café is open daily from May Day until early October during midsummer season
11:00–19:00 or as long as there are customers.
