The Kiesimä loop follows peaceful rural roads around Lake Kiesimä.
At the beginning, the route runs along a wide gravel road through fields to the village of Kiesimä.
Along the way, you pass Riitunvirta, which connects the water route from Kiesimä to the Sonkari area.
From the village of Kiesimä, the route passes the Kiesimä canal and continues along a narrow isthmus,
Kiesimäntaipale, towards Koipiniemi.
At Koipiniemi, you will find a swimming beach and a unique and impressive lean-to shelter if you make a short detour from the route.
From Koipiniemi, the route continues along small roads towards Sääksjärvi,
where you can cycle on gravel-based roads in flat pine heath terrain.
Before returning to the starting point, the route crosses the Kerkonkoski canal,
where you will find a memorial to World War I field fortifications on its shore.
In Kerkonkoski, food is available at Kerkonkosken Keidas by the rapids or at the Kerkko village shop.
