Do you want to enjoy silence and peace? Then your choice is definitely Vesanto! This small village is located just below the “navel” of Finland. Vesanto is known as the quietest place in Northern Savonia, and it also has the most spacious living conditions.

You can take a dip in some of Europe’s cleanest waters at the many swimming spots or by going boating. You can explore nature on various nature trails or on the jogging track located near the village centre, which is also home to a disc golf course. Do you enjoy geocaching? Vesanto has more than a hundred caches — so start searching! The municipality also has several lean‑to shelters where you can make a campfire and take a moment to relax.

If complete isolation and quiet are not your preference, Vesanto also offers lively moments when summer residents return and locals meet each other at evening markets. At the marketplace, you can experience some speed on the pumptrack.

In July, the village’s sports area is taken over by the Reiska World Championships, complete with additional activities and evening events.

It may even happen that after your holiday you want to spend more time in Vesanto. In that case, perfect working peace can be found at the municipality’s new log‑built school, where remote work is possible during the summer.
