When you stroll through Tervo, you’ll settle into a relaxed atmosphere, meet cheerful people, and won’t feel the constant pressure of hurry. In our spaciously built municipality, you don’t have to hunt for parking, and you can break up your day with a walk along beautiful lakeside scenery or pop quickly into a shop while taking care of other necessary errands — all services are close by, and you won’t spend unnecessary time waiting in queues.

In addition to beautiful nature, you can enjoy history and architecture. Vallikangas features fortifications from the First World War, and the drawings of our church, which represents historicism, were dated in Rome in 1923. Tervo is also a dream destination for boaters, anglers and outdoor enthusiasts. There are fine sandy beaches, observation towers, campfire sites and opportunities for both river and lake fishing.

Active village communities and lively associations bring life to the municipality and offer plenty of hobbies for all ages. In summer, we gather at the marketplace for shared market evenings and the Tervo Day celebration. As autumn darkens, we gather in a mystical atmosphere to watch the “pukki” return to the field.
