The story-filled cycling routes of the Hillside Villages invite you to explore the diverse landscapes of Savonia, local history, and fascinating tales. Along the way, you’ll experience both beautiful natural scenery and culturally significant sites.
QR codes placed along the routes reveal stories about the area, and during the ride you can also search for geocaches and enjoy local art.
Three Unique Cycling Routes
The Hillside Villages area offers three different routes, each with its own character:
Route 1 – 26 km
Route 2 – 26 km
Route 3 – 51 km
All routes are freely accessible after the opening event.
Starting Point & Route Overview
The routes start from the Korkeakoski parking area and pass through the following villages and regions:

Venetmäki
Lampaanmäki
Katajamäki
Patamäki
Leppämäki
