Suonenjoki City Boats

The city of Suonenjoki and its partners offer Finland’s first city boats for shared public use. The boats are fiberglass rowboats, and usage is free of charge.

One of the boats is equipped with a counter-rowing device, making rowing easier and allowing for tandem rowing.

The boats are located on the riverbank at the end of Päivölänkatu (Päivölänkatu 7), at moorings 13 and 14.

The boats are locked, and the key can be obtained from Teboil (Koulukatu 1). The rental period is four hours, starting from the moment the key is collected. Any use exceeding four hours will be charged at €50 per hour.

You can reserve a boat in advance from Teboil by phone at 020 793 1650. The reservation must be confirmed at least one hour before use, or it will expire.

Boats may be rowed in the Suonenjoki River and Lake Suonte.

Users are responsible for their own safety while rowing.

If a boat is not returned within 24 hours, it will be considered lost, and a charge of €1,300 will apply.
