Simolanvuori MTB Route
The Simolanvuori Route can be accessed from the intersections of Lintharju, Raatmaa, and Käpylä. This trail is more technical than the Lintharju routes, with a total length of 13.3 km. The challenging section leads up to Simola Mountain, but an easier 12.4 km alternative bypasses the difficult terrain.
The route traverses duckboards over wetlands, roads, and trails, featuring rocky and root-covered sections. In some areas, the terrain can be very wet, requiring cyclists to dismount and walk their bikes.
The Simola Mountain section is technically demanding and marked with a black square. The rocky, steep, and rugged paths make it a challenging climb, but the breathtaking views from the top are a worthy reward. This section is recommended only for experienced riders.
Winter biking is strictly prohibited on this route, as it partially overlaps with snowmobile trails. Along the trail, you will find accommodation, camping, and food services, with the option to book a sauna upon request.
The route is also available on Komoot.
