The starting point of the route towards Säviä is located in Lossisaari,
where accommodation and food services are also available. In addition, the island has two lean-to shelters and a swimming beach.
At the beginning, the route follows a gravel road along the edge of a residential area,
after which it continues onto a flat network of forest roads crossing peatland areas,
covering the first third of the route.
The journey continues along village roads through varied rural landscapes towards the shoreline scenery of Lake Pielavesi,
after which the route heads back towards Lossisaari along slightly wider but hillier gravel roads.
Overall, the route is easy to moderately demanding and offers pleasant cycling,
after which it is nice to take a swim at the Lossisaari beach.
