The route towards Leppäselkä initially follows pedestrian and cycling paths within the built-up area
and then turns onto Pekantie, which runs through forest landscapes towards Leppäselkä,
after which the route continues briefly along Pikonmäentie.
At Leppäselkä, it is possible to take a short detour to the lean-to shelter on top of Kakkovuoret,
which can be reached almost entirely by bike using the area's trails.
From Leppäselkä, the route continues to a section circling Kummunkylä,
where you will find gravel roads of varying difficulty in diverse terrain.
After that, the route runs through the lakeside scenery of Koutajärvi along a road that cuts through fields, all the way to the Blue Highway.
Along the route, you will find Sawola Resort, which offers accommodation, and nearby is Lake Hetejärvi,
on whose shore you will find two different birdwatching towers.
The final stretch follows an asphalt road back to the centre of Keitele.
