Kärkkäälä Loop

The Kärkkäälä Loop is a versatile cycling route that offers not only varied terrain but also beautiful rural landscapes. The route follows both paved and gravel roads.

Running through countryside scenery, the Kärkkäälä Loop is especially suitable for cycling enthusiasts. Elevation changes, varying road types and the length of the route make it a very diverse cycling experience. The route consists of both asphalt and gravel surfaces, with road width varying along the way.

There are two rest stops along the route:

• the first at the Iisvesi lakeside pavilion around the 6 km mark

• the second at the ITE‑Aulis home museum around the 30 km mark.

The route is not marked in the terrain, so it is important to read the route instructions before starting the ride. The route mainly follows public roads, so other traffic should be taken into account and traffic rules must be followed.
